This is Bandy. He is a Savannah Monitor (Varanus exanthematicus). He was a birthday present (and the best present I ever got!) Most Savannah's have their spots dispersed about their back. Bandy's spots are arranged in bands, hence his name. Ain't he a cutie?? ;)
Bandy is quite defensive. He will usually try to bite and whip his tail at me when I approach him. In time, I hope he will calm down! His favorite things to do are eating and eating. He also likes to soak in his water, and hiss alot! He puffs himself up really big, and thinks he is 4 feet long. It is actually pretty funny to see this tiny reptile act like a big shot!
