Our Mission

This Web Site is established by the members of Local 433, Utility Workers Union of America, employees of ALCOSAN (Allegheny County Sanitary Authority). It is used as a communications source by the members of Local 433 and a means for providing information concerning Local 433 and ALCOSAN. We elect an Executive Board to negotiate the conditions of our employment. We strive always to enhance the working and living conditions of our members. In order to serve the public better, the members of Local 433 stay abreast of the technological changes in the wastewater treatment industry. Our members perform a crucial environmental service in the Pittsburgh and surrounding suburbs. We stand firmly with our union brothers and sisters in opposition to the take over of public water and wastewater treatment plants. We are united in concert with all local and national unions against the deregulation of the electric industry.
