Are you ready for some football?!?

"A Monday Night party, we're gonna get it kick-started..."

When you grow up in the steel city during the time the Pittsburgh
Steelers became the first team to win 4 Super Bowls (all within
6 years, too), you pretty much can't call yourself a "Pittsburgher"
if you're not following the football team!

I remember the first two football games I saw in person: The 1978 and 1979
AFC Championship Games, where the Steelers pasted the Houston Oilers
both times. Sure it was cold, sure my dad had to carry me in through
the turnstile (will they let you do that nowadays for a seven year old kid?)
as he only had one ticket and I had to share a seat. But, hey, I got
to see the games!

Tickets are very hard to come by in the Steel City (even nearly 25-30
years past the glamorous '70s, there is still a long, long waiting
list for season tickets!). My dad was able to split season tickets
with a friend this past season (1996) so we got to see 4-games, and
all were a blast! If you're never been to a game at Three Rivers,
go and go early! It truly is a city rallying around its Stillers
and Cold 'Iren City Beeeer!
