My Reborning Techniques

When I start to make a baby I always wash the new kit in warm bath

water using a baby wash to remove any factory residues.  I then use

Genesis Heat set paints on all my dolls. Genesis heat paints are baked into

the vinyl and never fade or dull over time or with age

I use many layers of paint and different techniques on my babies to achieve

that perfect skin color. I also give my babies little veins, capillaries on their

head, eyes, inner wrists, outer wrist area, ankles anywhere I feel a baby

has a vein. Every little crease and wrinkle is highly detailed.

I also trim the babies nails giving them a fresh clipped look and seal them.

I use a glaze on the dolls eyes, nose and mouth for a moist real look.

I buy high quality bodies for my babies that are made of doe suede material

and double sewed for durability. I fill my baby limbs with very tiny micro

glass beads for more lifelike weight to the limbs. I also use plastic

poly pellets, glass beads, 100% poly fill inside the body. All pellets or beads

inside the body and head are contained inside a small bag so there is no

spillage throughout the body. I use top quality premium angora mohair, so

soft like baby hair.   I micro root all the babies  hair with a German

Forked 42 G Needle or a micro 40 G crowning needle. I use a 38G needle

for rooting the babies eyelashes. All the hair on my babies is sealed on the

inside of the body with a good waterproof glue. This is so the new mommy's

can gently wet and re-style the babies hair. Sometimes I will open the

babies nose and back it with felt for the effect of baby breathing. I usually

only do this if the baby has a nice size nose hole for opening. Some are very

small and very hard to open without ruining the outer nose area. I usually

use a very strong magnet in the babies head to use with a magnetic pacifier.

Then I carefully check my baby over making sure I like her coloring, hair.

Now the fun part is I get to go buy lots of very pretty baby clothes, hair bands,

diapers for my babies. After I dress my baby making sure it is perfect I give

them a big hug and carefully box up the baby to go onto to their new home.

These babies take along time to make and they become almost like one of

my actual children. I put alot of hard work into each doll I make and would

love to keep them all but I am glad to be able to offer my Special Babies to

others to enjoy. These dolls are a Collectors Item and should be carefully

taken care of.
