Adventures in Pioneer Living - Teen Aides

June 17-21, 9 - 11:45am (for children ages 8 through 11)
Aug 5-8, 6pm - 8:30pm (for children ages 11-14)

Teens at least 15 years old are invited to volunteer as Aides for either or both sessions of Adventures in Pioneer Living. The June morning session is for children ages 8-11; the August evening session is for children ages 11-14.

Aides must be engaging and cheerful, and work well with both children and adults. Aides work directly with the Unit leader to prepare materials, assist children, and lead small groups of children in activities. They should have an interest in local history, and ideally, have some knowledge of pioneer living skills. Teens who have previously attended APL as a camper are especially welcome.

Interested teens must be able to work all days of a camp session, and must be attired in full colonial dress at all times (colonial dress may be available to borrow, if needed). Teens can earn community service hours for all volunteer work performed at DLM.
