Introduction to Weaving Class, for the very beginer. Reservation required

Open Hearth cooking class - think of the possibilities for your next camping trip!Registration required.

Sunday, April 22, 1-4pm
Interpreters' Meeting and Museum Cleanup Day. Come help with Spring Cleaning of historic buildings Bring cleaning supplies.

Sunday, May 6, 1-4 pm
The Museum opens for the season, staffed by costumed interpreters. The Museum is open every Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm, May thru October.

Sunday, May 6, 1-4 pm
Children's Heritage Day. A day dedicated to children, with special hands-on games and activities.

Saturday, May 12, 10am - 4pm
Bee Hive Bake oven cooking class. Registration required.

Sunday, May 20, 1-4 pm
Friendship Day at the Museum. The Museum will be open to the public free of charge, with special displays and demonstrators. Enjoy a free concert by of the Pittsburgh Historical Music Society orchestra.

June 18-22, 9am-12pm
Adventures in Pioneer Living, a morning camp for children ages 8 thru 11. Children choose to experience life as an Indian, Pioneer or Soldier in the Depreciation Lands in the year 1792. Learn the skills, lore, and foods of your chosen group. Pre-registration is required.

August 6-9, 6pm-8pm
Adventures in Pioneer Living. New this year, an evening camp for children ages 11 thru 14. Children choose to experience life as an Indian, Pioneer or Soldier in the Depreciation Lands in the year 1792. Learn the skills, lore, and foods of your chosen group. Pre-registration is required.

Saturday, September 15, 5:30 - 10pm
Talley Cavey Tavern Night at the Museum. Revelers are invited to a summer gathering at the Talley Cavey Tavern. Dinner, libations and entertainment are all inclusive for a single tariff Reservations required. 18th century attire welcome.

Saturday, October 6, 10am-4pm
The Hydref, the Museum's Fall Festival. The Museum comes alive with re-enactors, demonstrators, crafts people, music, food and children's activities. Come to the Hydref and step back in time!

Saturday, October 20, 6-9:30pm
Lantern Tours at the Museum. A quiet, family oriented, historical alternative to Halloween. Learn about, and possibly catch a glimpse of the Deacon, the museum's resident, benevolent ghost. Costumed guides and demonstrators in every building. (scary stories after 8:30pm!)

Saturday, October 27, 6-9:30pm
Group Lantern Tours at the Museum. Groups must pre-register for a tour time.

Sunday, October 28, 1-4pm
Last Sunday to visit the museum for the season. Check this website for special events throughout the winter. See you next year!

Special tours and events for groups or parties. Scouts, schools, families, friends and clubs are invited to schedule a private event.
