SISTERS OF SAINT FRANCIS OF MILLVALE, PENNSYLVANIA
MOUNT ALVERNIA MOTHERHOUSE

have visited this page.

At the turn of the century, the Sisters of St. Francis of Millvale (a borough outside of Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania) built the motherhouse at Mount Alvernia on several beautiful acres in the northern region of the city. It is the home of over 220 religious sisters and associate members. Lay associate women and men members join the community in prayer and ministry, as they address the needs of hungry brothers and sisters in human services, housing, education and health care.

It is the privilege of the sisters and associate members to share their story with you.
